EveryDoc
Your most critical documents. Designed to stay off someone else's server.
EveryDoc is in development. It will scan your IDs, passports, and insurance cards, encrypt them on your device with AES-256-GCM, and alert you before they expire. Your documents will be stored only in your personal iCloud.
How EveryDoc is being designed

EveryDoc
Vault locked

Why not just Apple Notes or Google Drive?
Most scanner apps and cloud drives treat your most sensitive identity documents like ordinary vacation snapshots or corporate spreadsheets.
The Photo Library Trap
Searching through 14,000 photos when the car rental counter asks for your insurance card. No expiration alerts, no classification, and absolutely no encryption.
The Big Cloud Leak Risk
Most cloud scanner apps upload your raw passport scans to company servers and unencrypted cloud buckets. If their backend gets breached, your identity is exposed to the world.
The EveryDoc Standard
EveryDoc will scan on-device, encrypt before writing, and store everything in your own iCloud app data container. Even if Apple or EveryDoc were subpoenaed, there would be no plaintext to hand over.
Five Pillars of Sovereign Document Storage
Being engineered from the hardware layer up so your documents will be quick to retrieve, simple to renew, and unreadable to outsiders.
Smart On-Device Scanning & OCR
Will scan with the native camera, using hardware-accelerated edge detection and automatic perspective correction.
Guided 2-Sided Capture
Will scan the front and back of driver's licenses and insurance cards, with side-by-side verification before saving.
On-Device Machine Learning
Will extract expiration dates, document numbers, and categories with 1-tap copy. No images will leave the device for AI processing.
Sovereign BYOC
Bring Your Own Cloud
EveryDoc will have no servers, no databases, and no user accounts. Encrypted ciphertext will sync directly to your private iCloud App Data folder (or Google Drive App Data on Android).
Your cryptographic key will belong only to you. You will be able to export cross-platform .evryarchive encrypted backups anytime.
Four-Tier Urgency Radar Sample data
Mapped to the urgency levels planned for the EveryDoc app
Auto Insurance (Model Y)
Policy POL-882194. Auto-reminders scheduled at 90d, 30d, 7d, and day-of.
California Driver's License
2-Sided card verified. Direct state DMV renewal link preloaded.
Multi-Page & Selected Page PDF Export
Interactive Page Picker
Will export multi-page cards or legal binders into single PDF files. You will be able to choose "All Pages" or pick individual sides (e.g. front-only or pages 1 & 3).
Pure In-Memory Decryption
Will merge decrypted pages in memory and wipe them from device storage as soon as the iOS or Android share sheet closes.
Biometric Lock & Privacy Armor
- Will auto-lock with Face ID / Touch ID after a timeout you choose (Immediate, 1 min, 5 min).
- Will let you switch between zero-knowledge encrypted mode and standard mode in Settings without re-scanning.
- Will ask twice before a vault reset, to protect against accidental data loss.
The Zero-Knowledge Difference
Compare how typical scanner apps and cloud drives protect your sensitive documents with how EveryDoc is being designed to.
| Feature / Capability | Typical Scanner Apps | Standard Cloud Drives | EveryDoc (planned) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plaintext on Company Servers | Yes | Yes | Never (by design) |
| Requires an Account / Email | Yes | Yes | No account required (by design) |
| Expiration Alerts | Manual or None | None | Automatic Local Notifications |
| 2-Sided Card Scanning | Clunky / Multi-file | Manual | Guided 1-Tap Workflow |
| Encryption Standard | Server-side / Vendor held | Vendor held | AES-256-GCM + BIP-39 Master Key |
| Data Loss Protection | Vendor controls data | Account bound | Your Cloud + Exportable .evryarchive |

Security & Technical Architecture Deep-Dive
The client-side cryptographic design EveryDoc is being built on.
