Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WordSmith application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Please read them carefully before using WordSmith.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WordSmith, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

WordSmith is a vocabulary builder that lets you save words, look up definitions, take quizzes, keep idioms, generate stories from your words, and sync content via iCloud. Features may change as we update the app.

3. Accounts

You may sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Apple ID or Google account secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your WordSmith access has been used without authorization.

4. In-App Purchases

WordSmith may offer optional purchases such as Remove Ads. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. Refunds are handled according to Apple's policies. You can restore eligible purchases through the in-app restore path.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt to reverse engineer the app, interfere with quizzes or advertising, or use WordSmith in any way that violates applicable law. Dictionary content and generated stories are for personal vocabulary practice.

6. Third-Party Content

Definitions are fetched from third-party sources on the internet. Advertising, when enabled, is provided by third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, ads, or the accuracy of every dictionary result.

7. Intellectual Property

WordSmith, including its name, design, and original software, is owned by Mt. Aden LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain rights to the word lists and notes you create.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. WordSmith is a learning aid, not a guarantee of academic or professional results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mt. Aden LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including loss of word lists if sync or device storage fails.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of WordSmith after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
